Thursday evening, October 26th, over 100 neighbors joined us for a fundraising event at “The Blue House.” Many of our guests were here for the very first time and we were happy to meet them; others have known about the Blue House for many years and were happy to hear an update. It was an amazing evening filled with fun laughter and friendship.
WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO THE

“Peace to All Who Enter Here” was the message we added to our front steps last school year. Each year a new student will re-create the message. Last week, Briana B. spent a very warm afternoon doing just that. Thank you, Briana!
This beautiful quilt now hangs in our front hall. Many thanks to Donna Moscinski who created this amazing work of art.

On a spring afternoon our young people created over 100 t-shirts in remembrance of those murdered in Chicago since January 1st. During Easter weekend the shirts will be hung on crosses and placed at the site where each murder occurred. The remembrance t-shirt project is coordinated by Rev. Dennis Langdon from Morgan Park Methodist Church and Rev. Karen Mooney from the Beverly Unitarian Church. You can read more about it in the Chicago Tribune article, complete with pictures and videos (Click the “On Air” image below). We are proud to be a part of #NoMurderChicago.
Hear Center Director, Peggy Goddard’s interview with Deacon John Cook which aired on Relevant Radio on Tuesday,December 15, 2015. Many thanks to Deacon John for helping to share our mission with others throughout Chicagoland.
